Over 200 walkers joined us at our 2009 Walk to Wellness – Spring Into Health event on May 16th. The focus of this annual event is to reach out to our patients, friends and supporters and promote healthy living and healthy habits. Thanks to our sponsors, walkers, in-kind donations, and health fair participants, we had great success!
- We were joined by 16 health fair participants
- THCC staff formed teams and raised over $1,000
- Three individual received awards for bringing in the most individual pledges totaling almost $300
- We raised nearly $5,500 in total!
This special spring event grows more and more each year- with people enjoying a morning of walking, mingling and learning from the many health vendors. Lincoln Ware from WDBZ- The Buzz returned as our “Walkmaster,” and was joined by Ronald McDonald and Parky, the Hamilton County Parks mascot, who provided warm-ups for walkers!
Special thanks to our Co-Sponsor, the Hamilton County Park District, our Presenting Sponsors, Hospice of Cincinnati and TriHealth, and our Walking Partner, Fleet Feet Sports – their support helped make this year’s event a great success.
