Our Providers

Internal Medicine Providers

Dr. Bernard Lenchitz has been a provider at THCC since 1990 and our Chief Medical Officer since 2007. He was board certified in Internal Medicine in 1990 and re-certified in 2000. Dr. Lenchitz, licensed in the State of Ohio, completed his medical education at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and finished residencies in Internal Medicine and General Surgery at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He has a full-time academic appointment with the UC College of Medicine and is the Medical Director for Community Health at the Health Alliance. Dr. Lenchitz holds current hospital appointments at University Hospital, Jewish Hospital and Cincinnati Veterans Hospital. He enjoys exercise, travel and time with his family. Dr. Lenchitz sees patients at our Mt. Healthy and Lincoln Heights Centers.
Dr. Mary Weatherington has been a provider at THCC since 2004. She was board certified in Internal Medicine in 1995 and recertified in 2005 and is licensed in the State of Ohio. Dr. Weatherington completed her medical school training at Southern Illinois University. She finished her residency training at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and worked for the Butler County Health Department for two and for Internists of Fairfield for six years prior to joining THCC. She currently sees patients at our Lincoln Heights Center. Her objective in medicine is to consider the whole patient, to achieve a patient-driven, physician-directed model with an emphasis in preventative medicine.
Susan Rivers-Payne, RN, MSN, CNP, COA NP, CTP, is an Adult Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified by the American Nurses Association Credentialing Center. She received her BSN from the College of Mt. Saint Joseph, her Master of Science in Nursing from University of Cincinnati, and her Adult Nurse Practitioner Post Masters Certificate from Northern Kentucky University. She currently sees patients at our Consumer Wellness Clinics.
Christine Colella, MSN, RN, CS, CNP, is certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner and in Surgical Nursing. She received her Nurse Practitioner certification from Northern Kentucky University and her Masters and Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati. Colella teaches courses in Clinical Nursing at the University of Cincinnati, and prior to her work with THCC she served as the Director of Ambulatory Practitioner Program also at the University of Cincinnati.

Family Medicine Providers

Dr. Julia D. Beatty (formerly Reitz) completed her medical education at the University of Kansas and received a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education at Kansas State University. She completed her post graduate training at the Family Practice International Health and Underserved Tracks of the University of Cincinnati Family Practice. In addition to her work with THCC, Dr. Beatty sees patients at CORE Consumer Wellness Clinics and at our Mt. Healthy Family Practice Center on an as needed basis only.
Dr. Jessica Enriquez completed her medical education at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines, and passed the Philippine Medical Board Examination in 1961. Prior to joining THCC in 1974, Dr. Enriquez worked at the District Four State TB Hospital in Ashland, Kentucky, as the assistant Medical Director. She currently sees patients at Lincoln Heights and Mt. Healthy Centers and has teaching activities at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Wright State Medical University, and area health education centers.
Abby Bender, MD, joined THCC in August 2011 as a Family Medicine provider and is board certified by the ABFM and licensed in the State of Ohio. Dr. Bender completed her medical school education at the University Of Cincinnati College Of Medicine in 2007 and completed her residency program at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Prior to joining THCC, Dr. Bender provided services at Christ Hospital and for HealthSource of Ohio in Milford, Ohio. She currently sees patients at our Forest Park and Lincoln Heights offices.
Casey Moothart, MD, joined THCC in February 2012. Dr. Moothart is board certified in both Pediatrics and Internal Medicine and received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI, with high distinction in 2003. He attended the University of California for his combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency and graduated in 2007. Prior to joining THCC, Dr. Moothart provided services at Neighborhood Health Care here in Cincinnati. Dr. Moothart currently sees patients at our Lincoln Heights and Mt. Healthy offices.
Lillian Link, CNP, has been certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center since 1996 and joined THCC in April 2009. She received her BSN at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio in 1974 and received a Certificate of Authority to practice as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner from the Ohio Board of Nursing in 2009. Before joining THCC, Lillian worked for Johnson Health Center, Carillion Family Physicians, and the Lynchburg Juvenile Detention Center in Virginia. She sees patients at our Mt. Healthy practice and also covers other locations as needed.
Debra Johnsen is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Ohio and Kentucky. She received a post-graduate track Adult to Family Nurse Practitioner certification from Northern Kentucky University, a Masters of Science in Nursing from Indiana University in Adult Primary Care, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati. Prior to joining The HealthCare Connection, Johnsen worked at the University of Cincinnati Internal Medicine Resident Practice, at Evercare serving a geriatric population, and at Healthpoint, a FQHCC in Northern Kentucky, for 6 years. Johnsen is part of the part-time faculty at Northern Kentucky University, and she currently sees patients at our Glenway Consumer Wellness Clinic and at our Mt. Healthy and Forest Park Centers.
Alan Ullman, CNP, is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. He received his education at the University Of Cincinnati College Of Medicine. Alan joined THCC in October 2010 and works at one of our consumer wellness clinics, as well as, our Mt. Healthy practice. Prior to joining THCC, Alan provided services at Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services and for Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
Kathie York, ANP, CNP, is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Kathie received her education at the University Of Cincinnati College Of Medicine. Kathie joined THCC in 2005 and sees patients at our consumer wellness clinic on Glenway Avenue. She previously saw patients at our Mt. Healthy practice location. Prior to working at THCC, Kathie worked for the Cardiac, Vascular, and Thoracic Surgeons and the Hutton Research Institute.

Pediatric Providers

Dr. Mohammad Arshad was board certified in pediatrics in 1996 and he completed his medical education at Nishtar Medical College in Multan, Pakistan. He attained a post graduate diploma in pediatrics at the University of Vienna and completed his residency in pediatrics at the Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Prior to joining THCC, Dr. Arshad worked as a pediatrician in the Sickle Cell Clinic at the Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn. He currently sees patients at our Forest Park and Mt. Healthy Centers.
Dr. Sadiya Asif completed her medical education at Mysore Medical College in Karnataka, India. She completed her residency training in pediatrics at the Metropolitan Hospital in New York. Prior to joining THCC in 1997, Dr. Asif worked in her own private practice and in health centers in and around Cincinnati. She currently sees patients at our Lincoln Heights Center.
Dr. Richard M. Youngpeters was board certified in pediatrics in 1975 and is licensed to practice in the State of Ohio. He completed his medical education at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and his internship and residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics as well as the hospital staff at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Dr. Youngpeters worked in his own private pediatric practice from 1973-1999 in Cincinnati. He was a member of the staff at Babies Milk Fund Pediatric Care from 1999-2005. Prior to joining THCC, Dr. Youngpeters worked at East Liverpool Professionals, LLC, from 2006-2007. He currently sees patients at our Mt. Healthy and Forest Park Centers.
Daniel Whalen, MD, is a pediatrician at our Lincoln Heights center. Dr. Whalen joined THCC in August 2011. Dr. Whalen completed his education at the University Of Toledo College Of Medicine and his residency at Children's Hospital of Michigan in 2008. Prior to working at THCC, Dr. Whalen worked at Wright State University and the Mueller Center/Champaign Residential in Springfield, Ohio.
Alyssa Voelkerding, MSN, ND, PNP, is board certified as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. She received her Master of Science in Nursing and her license as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Northern Kentucky University. She completed her Bachelor of Science in nursing at the College of Mount St. Joseph. Prior to her affiliation with THCC, Voelkerding worked at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. She currently sees patients at our Lincoln Heights and Mt. Healthy Centers.

Obstetrics and Gynecology Providers

Dr. Clarence Lamb, Jr. was board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1985 and is licensed in the State of Ohio. He completed his medical education at the University of Cincinnati and received post graduate training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Bethesda Hospital. He currently works for THCC at Mt. Healthy and holds hospital appointments at Bethesda, Good Samaritan, Jewish, and Christ Hospitals. He currently sees patients at our Mt. Healthy Family Practice Center.
Candice Snyder, MD joined THCC part-time in April 2011 and is an OB/GYN provider. Dr. Snyder received her MD from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport, LA in 2005 and completed her residency in 2009. She is also completing a fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine. She presently sees patients at our Lincoln Heights center.
Krista Sweeney, CNM, is board certified as a registered nurse and a certified nurse assistant. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati. Prior to her affiliation with THCC, she worked with Nurse-Midwifery Associates, facilitating Centering Pregnancy sessions, routine gynecological care and family planning for women. She currently sees patients at our Mt. Healthy Family Center.

Dental Providers (Lincoln Heights Location)

Dr. Lynda Roberts-Riddle, DDS, received a Bachelor of Science degree from Howard University College in Washington, D.C. Her dental degree was awarded by the Howard University College of Dentistry in 1981.She is certified in general dentistry and licensed in the State of Ohio. Dr. Roberts-Riddle has previously practiced in the private sector in Cleveland and Cincinnati and, for many years, at what is currently known as CincySmiles, a local not-for-profit agency. She has been with THCC Dental Center in Lincoln Heights since 2002 and assumed the position of Dental Director in November 2009.

Dr. April Hearns, DDS, received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. She completed a General Practice Residency Program at the VA Medical Center in Dayton, OH. She continued her training by completing a second residency program at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. Dr. Hearns is also a graduate of the American Dental Association Diversity in Leadership Program. She is a member of the American Association of Woman Dentists. She is licensed in the State of Ohio.
